The hotel boasts a stunningly beautiful location in the Galloway Forest, perfect for walkers and nature lovers. The rooms were lovely, cosy, and clean, offering a comfortable stay. The service was amazing, with the staff being very helpful and friendly. However, the dining experience was a little disappointing, lacking the desired charm. Overall, a great value for the money with great outdoor activities nearby.

The House O'Hill Hotel was a lovely stay overall. The rooms were immaculately clean with a large, comfy bed and an excellent bathroom. The staff, whom I later found out was the partner of the chef/owner, were very attentive and friendly, making our stay enjoyable. The location in the Galloway Forest, although challenging for taller individuals, was accommodating and close to the Glen Trool gravel cycling network. The dining experience, although not as impressive as dinner, managed to serve a full menu in the evenings. The facilities were fine but nothing exceptional.
